Summer Project Team

During the summer of 1998, a group of three undergraduate engineering students were hired by the Engineering Science and Mechanics department to remodel EMch12. EMch 12 is a class about dynamics based on Newtons 2nd law, F=ma. Many students have a difficult time with this subject matter. Therefore, Professor Gary L. Gray and Francesco Costanzo decided to add lab activities to the class. This way students would have hands-on experience to better their understanding. The three, Ben Conaway, Molly Riley and Chris Watterson, spent the entire summer creating new activities, making web pages, and devising instructor guides for the course. This web page gives an inside look at the three students who designed it all.
