===== Collaborative SEM study on Mouse Retina and RPE =====
I am working with Dr. Dennis Defoe at Eastern Tennessee State University to characterize Retinal Pigmented Epitheliial(RPE) changes in "knock out" vs normal mice.  A negative cell cycle regulatory protein gene, Kip1 has been deleted leading to excell cell proliferation.  Microvillous processes appear to be altered.  We are currently investigating the changes that occur.
