One position is for in-situ TEM studies of chemomechanical degradation of nanoparticles and nanowires; the other position will be in the area of multiscale modeling of degradation mechanisms of nanostructured materials under electrochemical cycling. We welcome highly motivated and qualified undergraduate and graduate students trained in relevant fields to apply. The Cellular Mechanics Lab has one opening for Research Assistantship (starting fall of 2013. Research of hired individuals will involve in research interfering nanostructured materials with biological cells, including nanoparticle-based drug delivery, biomechanics based design of tissue scaffolds, etc. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact Prof. Sulin Zhang directly at suz10@psu.edu.
