  * Coordinate the design, development and editorial review of the biannual newsletter ESM Connections and other marketing publications
  * Serve as liaison with the alumni society and professional advisory council to include University Park meetings and other priorities set forth by groups
  * Organize the yearly Outstanding Engineering Alumni award process and visit
  * Acknowledge and track gifts from donors to the department utilizing eSteward
  * Organize and implement the Early Career Award process
  * Coordinate set-up and implementation of University Park and off-campus alumni events (i.e. Tailgates, Alumni Reunion, State-of-the-department receptions)
  * Administer student recruitment and placement activities with industry (i.e. fall and spring semester ESM Career events)
  * Lead updates to ESM Linkedin and Sharepoint
  * Write and publicize news items online via What’s New
  * Back-up department head assistant
