Dr. Barbara Shaw
Dr. Barbara Shaw is the course director and a professor of engineering science and mechanics at The Pennsylvania State University. She has over 35 years of experience in the field of corrosion, including eight years at government and industrial labs. She has authored more than 100 technical publications and is a recipient of the NACE Internation H.H. Uhlig Educator Award. She is a fellow of NACE International.
Dr. Gerald Frankel
Dr. Gerald Frankel is a professor of materials science and engineering at The Ohio State University and is director of the Fontana Corrosion Center. He has over 35 years of experience in the fields of corrosion and electrochemistry. He is the author of over 250 publications and two patents. He is also a recipient of numerous awards including the NACE International H.H. Uhlig Educator Award. Prior to joining the faculty at Ohio State, he was a research staff member at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center for nine years. Dr. Frankel has been named a fellow of NACE International, The Electrochemical Society, and ASM International.
Dr. Rudolph Buchheit
Dr. Rudolph Buchheit is the Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky and a professor of chemical and materials engineering at University of Kentucky. Prior to joining the University of Kentucky in 2018, he was an Associate Dean in the College of Engineering at Ohio State University and a department head and professor in materials science and engineering at tht university. He has over 30 years of experience in the fields of corrosion and corrosion control and has authored more than 150 technical publications and thirteen patents. He is also a recipient of the NACE International H.H. Uhlig Educator Award. Prior to joing the faculty at Ohio State, he was a senior member of the technical staff at Sandia National Laboratories.
